Birkdale FM Radio Podcast service is now online 24/7
Birkdale FM is the online radio service designed, created and perfomed by students at Birkdale High School in Dewsbury.
Musab Hussain (Year 10), our producer says "All of the material featured on our site is original work recorded using AUDACITY sound recording software and uploaded in MP3 format to our school server".
Amelia Wells (Year 9), our project manager says "Click on the >> links on the nav bar at the left of the page to view our latest podcasts in Windows Media Player. You can also download:
>> iTunes
>> juicereceiver
Both of these 'podcatchers' are free and enable you to subscribe to our ever-changing podcast content".
Ben Bradshaw (Year 10), explains how to subscribe to Birkdale FM.
"Download a 'podcatcher' of your own choice. You can use the links to 'iTunes' or 'juicereceiver' from this page, but there are many more available. All podcatchers have a facility to subscribe to podcasts. For instance, using iTunes: On the menu bar go to: Advanced/Subscribe to Podcast. Then, at the prompt, enter our Birkdale FM podcast URL which is:
feed://www.birkdalehigh.net/birkdalefm.rss
"iTunes will keep you up-to-date by downloading our latest podcasts to you as they get posted by our Birkdale FM news team. Simple huh...? Obviously, you don't have to use iTunes or juicereceiver for podcatching... but why wouldn't you? - They're wonderful and free!"
